IRVING (May 14, 2013)--A 17-year-old Irving boy is charged with human trafficking after a 15-year-old female schoolmate said she was held captive and forced into prostitution.
An Irving police statement says the boy brought the girl to his home, where she remained under the influence of drugs and alcohol for three days, during which, police said, the boy forced her to become involved in prostitution.
The boy also tried to recruit other young girls into prostitution, police said, and investigators are seeking out those girls and interviewing them to determine if there are any other victims.
The boy was held in the Irving City Jail, charged with human trafficking of a minor, compelling prostitution and sexual performance by a child.
His bonds total $175,000.
