Texas Woman Charged In Death Of Daughter’s Boyfriend

ORANGE (November 29, 2012)--Julia Rhoton Andrews, 58, of Vidor, has been charged with murder in the shooting death of her daughter's boyfriend during an argument that turned physical.

Andrews was held Thursday in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Sgt. Chad Hogan says officers Wednesday night received a call about a disturbance at a home in Vidor.

Hogan says the caller then reported hearing gunfire outside.

The body of Randy Peddy, 42, was found in the yard.

Hogan says Andrews told investigators that she and Peddy had a verbal and physical altercation before he was shot.

Officials did not immediately release further details on her daughter or about who called for help.

Jail records did not list an attorney for Andrews.
