GALVESTON (December 13, 2012)--A woman who was using a motorized wheelchair died after she was struck by a vehicle in Galveston.

Galveston police say the woman died after the accident Wednesday afternoon at an intersection.

Police are investigating whether she rolled through a red light before the car struck her.

She died later at a Galveston hospital.

The victim's name wasn't immediately released.

Police say no charges were immediately filed again the driver of the vehicle.
