BAYTOWN (July 8, 2014) Three people were injured when their single-engine plane crashed in a park Monday evening in Baytown shortly after takeoff.
Information about the extent of their injuries wasn’t immediately available.
All three were taken to hospital.
Investigators were working Tuesday to determine what caused the Cessna 172 to plunge to the ground after taking off from a Baytown airport.
The wreckage of the four-seat plane, built in 1966, remained in the park Tuesday.
Federal Aviation Administration records show the plane is owned by a Baytown man.
