(August 19, 2008)—Residents who live near a Colorado pasture saw a cow and a wild bear nuzzling noses and playing.

The bear climbed an apple tree in the pasture and the cow wandered over to investigate.

But eventually the cow, which happens to be named Apple after her favorite fruit, eventually ran the bear off.

Apple's owner Nancy Dayton didn't see the confrontation, but she thinks Apple probably was protecting her territory and her tree.
