(November 26, 2008)—A 9-year-old Fort Worth boy who was home alone has foiled a pair of would-be burglars.

The fourth grader was in a back bedroom of his home watching TV when he heard a suspicious noise as the burglars broke into the house.

He promptly picked up the phone and called police.

Then he waited anxiously on the line until officers arrived.

Police caught the two burglars, who had taken some jewelry and other items from the home.

The evidently weren’t aware the boy was home.
