(December 3, 2080)—A former bank teller who pleaded guilty to charges in the embezzlement of more than $130,000 claims she was addicted to cable TV shopping.
Cassandra Ryder pleaded guilty to embezzling from the Copperhill, Tenn., bank where she used to work.
She told investigators she often used the bank's money to pay for things she saw on TV.
She was sentenced to 15 months in prison for embezzling $134,000.
In addition to the prison time, Ryder must pay back the money.
