(December 9, 2008)--The "Pride of Nevada" band from Elko High plans to go to Washington, D.C. next month for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama and it intends to go, whether it’s invited or not.
Elko band director Walt Lovell said he hasn't received official word yet, but other bands have already gotten their invitations.
Lovell says if the Elko band doesn't march down Pennsylvania Avenue, members will take in the sights.
He said hotel rooms have already been booked in Baltimore for the five-day trip.
