SAN ANTONIO (April 14, 2009)--A fed-up homeowner who couldn't stand the noise, called police on his neighbor, which just happens to be an elementary school.

Olympia Elementary School principal Terry LeBleu has a May court date for a noise citation after Bruce Armstrong complained that a Family Fitness Day event was too loud.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Tuesday that police in suburban Universal City said they had to issue the citation.

LeBleu says the school has built a fence, removed loudspeakers and installed noise-reducing backing on basketball goals in response to Armstrong’s complaint.

According to a police report, Armstrong told an officer that "police, fire, ambulances and the (Air Force) training jets are not unreasonable, but the noise coming from the elementary school was."

This is madness. Unfortunately, the law does not protect people from unfairly being targeted by hyper-sensitive and bitter people who have nothing better to do than lodge criminal complaints against people. I missed the part in the constitution that says everyone, regardless of location, deserves a zero decibel residence.
