TAOS, N.M. (May 5, 2009)--Taos, N.M., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic counterculture film "Easy Rider" with its own Summer of Love.
Easy Rider may have had a shockingly violent ending, but actor and Easy Rider director Dennis Hopper kicked off The Taos Summer of Love Monday.
Events planned for this summer in Taos include a "hippie homecoming" parade, art shows, concerts and costume contests.
Bring your own love beads.
