BATESVILLE, Ark. (May 21, 2009)--Authorities in Arkansas say a man who tried to use a horse sedative to get some shuteye ended up in the hospital.
Sheriff's deputies say the man was taken from a motel room to the hospital Tuesday evening taking horse tranquilizers as many as five times to try to get some rest.
In the room, deputies found syringes and three bottles of equine sedatives.
A veterinarian told the Batesville Daily Guard the drugs the man took are dangerous and tightly controlled and that man "is lucky to be alive."
