MONTGOMERY, Ala. (May 22, 2009)--Some restaurant owners in Alabama may be wondering how to put a tag on a fish after a new law was signed that will require them to disclose the country of origin of their catfish and seafood.
The state’s governor says people want to know where their food comes from.
The Alabama Restaurant Association says the law could be a real headache for some large chain restaurants because they use a mix of domestic and imported fish.
Beginning in August, they'll have to reveal where they get their catfish, and in January the rest of their seafood.
