CHICAGO (June 16, 2009)--Geno Zaharakis, the owner of a gay bar, has a message for bachelorettes; get lost.
He posted a "No Bachelorette Parties" sign at his Cocktail bar in Chicago's gay-friendly "Boystown" neighborhood.
It seems gay bars are popular with bachelorettes.
The young ladies get a kick out of the male dancers at some gay clubs and the fact they don't get hit on there, but Zaharakis says he loses money when the ladies of a bridal party let their hair down.
He's also making a political statement, saying it's not fair straights can marry while gays can't in many states, but other gay bars Chicago welcome the business the bachelorettes bring.
