HOUSTON (August 26, 2009)--A donor who wishes to remain anonymous has given a Houston charity items offered as originals by famed Spanish artist Salvador Dali.

The Salvation Army has put the abstract pieces on display at one of its thrift stores.

Certificates of authenticity accompany the artworks by Dali, who died in 1989.

The items include drawings, lithographs and individual prints.

A bronze crucifix is part of the display.

Assistant store manager Carl Roberts said written bids will be accepted for the artwork through the end of September.

Roberts said the woman who donated the items previously gave the charity other Dali artworks, which were auctioned online.
