Man Makes Truck From Scratch
A man who cobbled together a pickup truck using old parts admits his creation isn’t pretty, but says it’s paid for.

LOUISIANA, Mo. (September 16, 2009)--Johnny Bolton not only repairs his pickup, but he also built one using old parts, including Ford axles, a Chevy bed, an Oldsmobile engine and the frame from a 1949 International.

He admits his truck isn't very pretty, but says it runs and it's paid for.

Bolton calls his truck the "Mississippi River Rat" and he doesn't let a potential part go to waste.

Bolton told the Hannibal, Mo., Courier-Post he even used an old bedpan for the air cleaner.

For some reason I instantly thought of "One Piece at a Time" by Johnny Cash. I'd like to see that truck.
