RACINE, Wis. (November 19, 2009)--Edsel lovers gather this week in Louisville, Ky. to remember the Motor City blunder that went out of production 50 years ago.
David Hooten plans to be at the old Ford Edsel plant.
He's president of the Wisconsin Edsel Club and has a fully restored Edsel station wagon, one of the last off the assembly line.
It weighs more than two tons and is 18 feet long.
Hooten told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the Edsel gets a bad rap.
He says his whale of wagon handles well and gets 15 miles per gallon.
