Pot Washes Ashore At South Padre
There was a little something extra in the surf at South Padre this week.

McALLEN (January 15, 2010)--The U.S. Coast Guard has recovered about 800 pounds of marijuana that washed ashore on South Padre Island.

The Coat Guard launched two boats Thursday afternoon after receiving a report that black bundles were washing ashore.

The Coast Guard said that eight bundles were recovered and were turned over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
