Belton: Free Town Hall Meeting To Discuss Texas Education Reform

BELTON (March 15, 2013)--A free town hall meeting will be held Tuesday to discuss education reform in Texas.

The meeting is organized by Americans for Prosperity Texas and the Central Texas Tea Party.

Panelists will include Americans for Prosperity Texas Director Peggy Venable and a representative from charter schools.

Watchdog Wire Representative Lou Ann Anderson will moderate.

The forum will provide information on legislation currently being considered and discussion of the controversial CSCOPE lesson plan in use by more than 850 Texas school districts.

Americans for Prosperity is a national organization of citizens that believe in “reducing the size and intrusiveness of government to promote individual productivity and prosperity for all Americans.”

The event is free and will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Cathedral Oaks Event Center.
