Belton: Small Animal Clinic Employee Still In Coma After Wreck

BELTON (January 7, 2013)--A Belton Small Animal Clinic employee is still in a coma after being seriously injured in an accident Wednesday.

Jeffrey Ferguson has been in a coma for several days and underwent his third surgery to repair severe damage to his abdominal area, according to a coworker.

Doctors at Scott and White Hospital in Temple still not been able to assess the amount of damage to his brain sustained after Wednesday’s two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 439 and Sparta Road.

Details about the wreck were not known.

Friends and coworkers at the Belton Small Animal Clinic are asking the community to assist them in praying for Ferguson.

A fund has been set up to help offset medical expenses.

Donations can be dropped off “in support of Jeffrey Ferguson” at the clinic, located at 2607 N. Main Street.
