LITTLE RIVER (September 26, 2012)-Judge Thomas Barfield said Wednesday he'll not make a final ruling in the death of a 28-year-old Little River man until further autopsy results are returned.
Barfield pronounced Cody Lee dead last Saturday inside a residence in Little River and ordered Lee's body taken to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science, in Dallas, for autopsy.
Barfield said he was called to the scene after Academy police Chief Troy Hess responded to an unattended death.
The judge said there were no signs of trauma on the body and no indication of foul play.
A preliminary autopsy report shows the cause and manner of death as pending and final results are awaiting toxicology.
Services for Lee are pending with Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
