The search is focused near the Lake Belton Dam.

BELL COUNTY (June 29, 2012)—Rescuers from Morgan's Point Search and Texas game wardens resumed their search Friday on Lake Belton for a 33-year-old man who disappeared after slipping from a boat Thursday afternoon.

The man is a service member based in Washington State who was visiting the area, authorities said, but no further details were released.

Rescuers were sent to the lake at around 5:40 p.m. Thursday after a caller reported that the man fell from the boat in the area of Arrowhead Point near the Lake Belton Dam and didn't resurface.

The Morgan’s Point Dive Team searched the area Thursday evening, but to no avail.

The water is about 90 feet deep where the man was last seen and is murky, which limits visibility.

Authorities said Friday it could take several days to find the man’s body.
