CAMERON (February 19, 2013)--The Cameron ISD Board of Trustees met Monday night to discuss possible changes to school campuses to ensure the safety of students.
No action was taken Monday, but board members toured the different campuses and discussed possible safety modifications.
Some of the proposed ideas include adding a camera or intercom system to buzz visitors through.
“Right now, when visitors walk through the entryway, they are in the halls where the students are,” Cameron ISD Superintendent Collin Clark said Monday.
The new measures would make it so that people that come into the school would have to be let in by an administrator.
In a statement Tuesday Clark said they will seek the services of a design professional to determine the best modifications for consideration.
