CAMERON (December 12, 2012)--A Cameron woman was found dead Tuesday night after a single-vehicle accident.
A doctor at Central Texas Hospital told investigators that Shirley Nowell, 76, of Cameron, had a medical issue and died just before the accident, police said Wednesday.
Cameron officers were sent to the 1000 block of West 6th Street at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of the one-vehicle accident.
Police Chief Randy Dixon said it appears that Nowell’s vehicle ran off the road and hit a church sign.
Nowell had no signs of trauma and no autopsy was ordered.
