MILAM COUNTY (September 25, 2012)-Commissioners acknowledged October 11 as World Sight Day during their meeting Monday.
The proclamation has been approved along with Constitution Week which was celebrated across the nation last week.
World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.
