GATESVILLE (September 28, 2012)--Cody Dion-Michael Parlato, 19, of Copperas Cove, was indicted Thursday for murder in connection with the July 11 slashing death of another man.

Darien P. Brodeur, 42, also of Copperas Cove, was found just before 4 a.m. on July 11 in an apartment at the Five Hills Apartments at 2015 East Highway 190 after police responded to a report of a possible death.

Brodeur was lying on the floor inside of the apartment with a severe laceration on the front of his neck, police said.

Witnesses told detectives Brodeur's neck was slashed during an early morning fight with another man, after which the attacker fled.

Parlato remains in the Coryell County Jail in lieu of a $1 million bond.

Other true bills included Cordarion Dekedriek Scott, 23, Brannon Cole Johnson, 23, and Aaron Jermaine Johnson, 25, all of Copperas Cove, who each were indicted for aggravated robbery in connection with an incident during which four people were robbed at knifepoint.

Trevor Vincente Hoffman, 20, was indicted for indecency with a child in connection with an Aug. 3 incident during which police say he exposed himself to two young girls at a Copperas Cove house.

Copperas Cove police Sgt. Kevin Keller said a warrant for arrest was issued after the two girls, ages 10 and 14, reported to police that at around 6 p.m. on July 9, a man was standing naked behind a glass door in a doorway and was exposing his genitals.

And Jacob Wade Anderson was named in an indictment charging sexual assault in connection with an event that was reported in Gatesville.
