COPPERAS COVE (March 29, 2013)--The Copperas Cove High School Bulldog Battalion recently earned the Honor Unit with Distinction title from the Cadet Command Formal Inspection conducted on March 8th.

This places the cadets in the top 10 percent of the 5th Brigade which includes all JROTC programs in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona.

"I am very proud of their accomplishment," CCHS JROTC Senior Army Instructor Enrique Herrera said.

Out of 600 possible points, Copperas Cove High School scored 579 points.

The inspection scoring consists of uniform and grooming, answering JROTC question, Chain of Command knowledge, Marching Sequences, and Drill and Ceremony.

The Cadet Command Formal Inspection occurs once every three years to ensure the school is in compliance with contractual terms between the District and The Department of the Army.
