Texas Soldier Killed In Afganistan

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 14, 2010)—A soldier from Austin is dead after a grenade attack in Afganistan.

Sgt. Shaun M. Mittler, 32, of Austin, died Saturday of injuries he sustained during a rocket-propelled grenade attack.

Mittler was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry
Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air
Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
