COPPERAS COVE (February 21, 2013)-A Copperas Cove man was sentenced to state prison Wednesday after he earlier pleaded guilty to an aggravated robbery charge.

Judge Trent Farrell sentenced James Paul Cann, 31, to serve 10 years in state prison for the February 2012 aggravated robbery of a Copperas Cove convenience store.

Coryell County District Attorney Dusty Boyd said, in a news release, Cann pleaded guilty to the robbery Wednesday in 52nd District Court.

The robbery happened Feb. 12, 2012 at the 7-Eleven store on 1st Street in Copperas Cove.

A police report about the incident states a man entered the store with a large knife and his face covered with a bandana, and then demanded money from the clerk.
