COPPERAS COVE (January 18, 2013)--The Megan Baab Memorial Classic Road Race will be held Saturday at the Copperas Cove Civic Center to raise money for student scholarships.

Baab, a Euless native, was attending college in North Carolina when she was hit by a truck while on her bicycle.

The race starts at 8:45 a.m. and will take participants approximately 50 miles before ending back at the civic center.

The cost to register is $40 on site but does not include BikeReg fees.

Cash prizes will be awarded.

Money raised will go toward the Megan Baab Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The civic center is located at 1206 West Avenue B.
