COPPERAS COVE (March 27, 2013)—A new family fun center has made its way to Copperas Cove and will host its grand opening on Saturday.
Located at 14859 E. Hwy. 190, Mak’s Family Fun & Events Center offers laser tag, arcade games and cosmic golf.
The center offers three party rooms and features a full menu and a bakery.
Unique to the center is a toddler room, designed specifically for toddlers and includes toys like Legos, blocks, a train track, castle and more.
The company hopes to have batting cages made available in April in an effort to reach out to coaches and the general public in need of a place to practice, Events Manager Sarah Alliss said.
A “Water Wars” area will also be constructed and by mid-summer, visitors can expect a kiddie and adult go cart track.
Water Wars is a game in which both teams slingshot water balloons at each other from a set distance in an effort to get the other team wet.
The center is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. 7 days a week.
Saturday’s grand opening will last all day with children to perform dance numbers at noon.
“With the closure of other entertainment facilities, it’s something the city was lacking. Mak’s Family Fun & Events Center is a place where children and adults of all ages can come and have a good time,” Alliss said.
