(October 17, 2012)--Several opportunities will be made available for residents to donate blood in three counties.
On Saturday, residents in McLennan County can donate blood to the Red Cross from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Waco Blood Donation Center, located at 4224 Cobbs Drive.
On Monday, residents in both Brazos and Coryell counties can donate.
From 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Red Cross volunteers will be collecting blood at Grace United Methodist Church on W. F. Avenue in Copperas Cove.
Donors in Brazos County will be able to donate from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the College of Veterinary Medicine in College Station.
A second date of October 27 has been set in Waco at the blood donation center.
That opportunity will be from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
According to the American Red Cross, only 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate.
