Fort Hood: Residents Get Creative With Recycled Art

FORT HOOD (April 17, 2013)--Residents of Fort Hood are scraping together abandoned and unused objects in an effort to win the Recycling of Oz art contest held Friday.

The contest is in honor of Earth Day and the top three winners’ artwork will be on display at the Earth Day Recycling of Oz event from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Sportsmen’s Center on post.

Creative artists have until Thursday to put the finishing touches on their project which can be turned into housing offices.

All artwork must be entered by 10:30 a.m. Thursday along with the directions on how it was made.

Residents will also have the opportunity to cast their vote on the art they like best.
