Fort Hood: Soldiers Return From Afghanistan On Election Day

FORT HOOD (November 6, 2012)--Soldiers from the 1st Medical Brigade will return home Tuesday from Afghanistan.

A homecoming ceremony is planned for 9 p.m. at Abrams Physical Fitness Center.

More than 70 soldiers deployed as part of operation Enduring Freedom to provide command and control of medical care across the theater, a spokesperson said.

Brigade Commander Col. Bruce W. McVeigh led the 1st Med. Bde. which traces its history to World War I.
