GATESVILLE (February 18, 2013)- -Gatesville Public Library will hold an amnesty period this month during which residents can avoid a late fee.
Late fees will be waived for all late books, audio books, DVDs, and everything else borrowed from the library if the items are returned by February 28.
While the library currently sends e-mails to remind members when books are due, the library has announced plans for a new text messaging service to help members avoid late charges.
Residents with overdue books can take advantage of the amnesty period through the end of the month.
The library charges 25 cents a day for overdue books and a dollar a day for late movies.
