GATESVILLE (February 20, 2013)--A private donor has given a gift of approximately $240,000 for the Gatesville Public Library to add an additional 1,000 square feet for a new children’s area.
The library has begun construction on the new addition scheduled to be completed by mid-June.
The old children’s area will house a genealogy collection.
Additional space will allow more room for programs and other activities, Public Library Director Faye Nichols said.
“The library is well-used and we are happy to provide the additional room,” she said.
