GROESBECK (December 20, 2012)--A Groesbeck man pleaded guilty Thursday in Waco's federal court to possessing images of child pornography both on his home computer and his cellular telephone.

U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., set Steven Elliott Parks for sentencing on Feb. 20.

A criminal complaint signed by U.S. Magistrate Jeffrey C. Manske says agents of the U.S. Secret Service, along with investigators from the Limestone County Sheriff's Office on June 5 began an investigation into child pornography.

Federal agents were able to recover several photographs depicting children in inappropriate poses and other photographs that appeared to have been taken with a cellular telephone.

During an interview with Parks, the affidavit says, he admitted he had stored the photographs both on his phone and on his home computer.

Agents also were able to identify a 13-year-old girl who was pictured in the photos and she told them the pictures were of her.
