TEMPLE (January 16, 2013)--The Temple VA will be hosting their first annual Combat Veteran Softball Tournament but need a few supplies first.

The tournament will be held March 16-17, but preparations are already underway.

A volunteer for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System is looking for a sponsor for 3 dozen .44 core softballs and 2 dozen women’s balls.

He is also looking for additional raffle items to help kick off the fundraiser.

Registration for the event is already underway through the Harker Heights Parks and Recreation Department.

The cost to participate is $160 and will benefit veterans in the Central Texas area.
