AUSTIN (August 1, 2012)—Authorities boosted the reward to $13,000 Wednesday for information leading to the arrest of fugitive convicted sex offender Dallas Wayne Waddell, 45, who’s wanted on burglary charges in Hill County.
Waddell, who was added to the state’s Most-Wanted Sex Offenders list in March 2011, has been a fugitive since 2005.
He was last seen in Whitney where he was registered as a sex offender.
He has the name "Diana" tattooed on his left hand, has lion, clouds, and trees tattoos on his upper left arm, and Jesus, heart, and cross tattoos on the outside of his right leg.
He’s a ninth grade dropout who has worked as a boilermaker, pipe fitter and laborer.
His criminal history includes a 1987 arrest for aggravated sexual assault and a subsequent guilty plea to sexual assault of a child in a case involving a 13-year-old girl in Hamilton County.
Waddell also was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Harris County in 1989 and has other convictions for drugs, theft and DWI.
Waddell is currently wanted for burglary of a habitation in Hill County and for a parole violation for not registering as a sex offender.
He was born in Galveston and could be living in Mexico, authorities said Wednesday.
The Department of Public Safety says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
