KILLEEN (November 20, 2012)--The Greater Austin Merchants Cooperative Association added $10,000 to the Crime Stoppers cash reward for information that leads to the arrests of three men in the shooting death of a Killeen convenience store employee earlier this month.

Imran Amir Dukka, 28, of Killeen, was shot to death during a robbery just before midnight on Nov. 7 at the Star Mart Convenience store in the 3600 block of Zephyr Road in Killeen.

“Imran was loved by his family, a friend to every person he met, a very well regarded business colleague, and a positive role model,” association spokesman Steve Koebele said Tuesday.

“We join all the citizens of Bell County to comfort our friend’s family, help our law enforcement agencies with their continuing investigation, and obtain justice for Imran and the good people of Bell County,” he said.

A second man, whose name was not released, was injured in the shooting and was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.

He was later transferred to Scott & White Hospital in Temple in stable condition.

Dukka had just arrived to pick up the other man, who also works at the store, when three armed men dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered ran up to his Toyota Camry, robbed the two victims and then opened fire, shooting each man several times, police said.

The three robbers then took the Camry and sped off.

The car was later found abandoned in the area of Highland and Stetson, police said.

“Violent criminals should face the Texas justice system so that these criminals no longer prey on law-abiding Texans like Imran Dukka,” the association’s president, Sharif Prasla, said.

The association is a coalition of more than 300 small businesses in Central Texas.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the deadly shooting to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS.
