KILLEEN (February 8, 2013)—A Killeen man was being held Friday in the Bell County Jail in connection with the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl.

Michael Shane Chick, 37, was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The incident was reported to have happened last summer.

The child’s mother told police the girl had been assaulted while she was being cared for by a man last July 20 while the mother was at work.

During a forensic interview the child said the man made her watch a pornographic movie then forced her to perform sexual acts on him.

Police arrested Chick on Wednesday at a residence in the 2000 block of Little Nolan Road in Killeen.

The jail log reflects Chick lives at a residence in the 500 block of McArthur, in Killeen.
