COPPERAS COVE (February 7, 2013) ---William Everette Razor, 44, was in the Coryell County Jail Thursday, charged with robbery in connection with an incident in Killeen in which a woman was knocked unconscious and robbed by a man with whom she’d just had sex.
Copperas Cove police arrested Razor Wednesday.
His bond was set at $500,000.
DNA evidence recovered from the victim led to Razor’s arrest, police said.
Officers found the woman covered in blood after responding to a report of an assault on May 25, 2012 in the area of North 16th Street and Attas Avenue in Killeen.
She told them she had been walking near downtown when a man driving a green Chrysler 300 picked her up.
The woman told officers she and the man stopped in an alley behind the Moss Rose Community Center and had sex, after which they both got out of the car.
She said that when she turned her back to the man, he struck her in the head with such force that she was knocked unconscious.
She said when she came to, she was lying in a pool of blood, and the man and her purse were both gone.
She was taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple, where a sexual assault nurse examiner collected evidence that was sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety DNA laboratory in Waco.
When the DNA recovered from the victim was run through a national database, it produced a match, indicating “to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty” that the sample came from Razor, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Investigators also determined that Razor was known to drive a green Chrysler 300, the affidavit said.
