BELL COUNTY (June 24, 2012)--A garage was destroyed Sunday afternoon when fire raced through the building.
Firefighters from Southwest Bell County VFD were sent to the fire at about 2:30 p.m. to an address on Candlefly Road and had the fire out in about half-an-hour, but the garage had burned to the ground.
There was some surrounding grass that burned but no other structures were in danger.
Firefighters said the home owner told them he was burning a pile of trash behind the garage and the fire spread to the building.
