KILLEEN (December 31, 2012)--The City of Killeen is seeking the public’s input on proposed charter amendments to be included on the May 2013 general election ballot.
Four public hearings have been scheduled, with the first to be held Tuesday in the Utility Collections Conference Room at 210 W. Avenue C.
Other hearings are set for the next three Tuesdays, all to begin at 5 p.m.
Hearings on January 8 and January 22 will be held in the City Council Chambers located at 101 N. College Street.
City council members will vote on the proposed ballot for the charter election at its February 12 meeting.
A draft of the amended charter along with comments to provide justification for the proposed changes is available on the city’s website.
