KILLEEN (February 28, 2013)--TxDOT will begin a Hwy. 190 expansion project Friday to add capacity to Hwy 190 from the Fort Hood Main Gate to W.S. Young Drive.
The 6-mile project will add an inside travel lane in eastbound and westbound directions of the highway and will expand access to Fort Hood.
Culverts and bridges will be upgraded and widened and a concrete traffic barrier will be added between both opposing lanes.
The project will cost $55.3 million and is scheduled for completion in fall of 2015.
