Killeen: Leave Your Mark On Habitat Home

KILLEEN (November 29, 2012)--The Bell County Habitat for Humanity is raising money for home number 65 and is giving the public a unique opportunity to leave their mark.

Members of the community will be able to sign their name, write a favorite Bible verse or jot down an inspirational quote on the framed house.

The cost is $5 and will help the organization purchase materials for the new home that is not yet finished at 806 Carter Street.

The home will belong to the Johnson family.

Numerous individuals and companies have already pledged to sponsor the home.

Churches and Billy Bob’s Burgers will provide lunch to construction volunteers.

The signing of the building will take place Sunday from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Habitat for Humanity provides allows low-income families to purchase the volunteer-built, Energy Star certified home at 0 percent interest.
