KILLEEN (November 6, 2012)--Soldiers and their spouses from the 81st Civil Affairs Battalion who recently had a baby or are expecting a child are invited to attend Operation Shower Thursday at the Killeen Convention Center.

Around 40 mothers are expected to be in attendance and will receive a meal and a “baby shower in a box.”

The Operation Shower Corporation along with Babies “R” Us are sponsoring Operation Baby Shower because the battalion is preparing to deploy to Afghanistan in December.

Operation Shower is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "provide joyful baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment."
