KILLEEN (February 19, 2013)--An accident involving a motorcyclist and a car backed up traffic on a portion of Hwy. 190 Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the motorcycle and the car were both soldiers at Fort Hood.

According to police, the driver of the motorcycle was attempting to merge onto the highway just before Willow Springs around 11:45 a.m. when she looked behind her and collided with the car in front of her.

She was taken to Darnall Army Medical Center with minor injuries but did not appear to suffer any serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

Traffic was slow at around 12:45 p.m. but both lanes were open to traffic.
