Three-Vehicle Crash Sends 2 To Local Hospital

A wreck on a busy Central Texas road sent two people to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

KILLEEN (April 27, 2013)- A three-vehicle wreck sent two people to the hospital on Saturday.

It happened at 2:45 p.m. near the intersection of Stan Schlueter and Fort Hood Street.

A black Mustang was speeding down Fort Hood Street when it lost control and went airborne, police said.

While in the air the Mustang hit a white car then went airborne again and headed across the median towards oncoming traffic, police said.

The Mustang then hit a white vehicle head on, police said.

A passenger in the white car was flown to Scott & White in Temple with life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to police the driver of the Mustang was fine, but a passenger in the car was taken to the hospital.

Three other cars were hit by debris from the wreck, police said.
