LAMPASAS (January 22, 2013)--A boil water order is in effect for residents and businesses in two areas: west of Porter Street, north of Sixth Street and west of Willis Street, north of Naruna Road.
A contracted utility company struck a water main resulting in low water pressure.
Repairs were made Tuesday evening and water was flushed. However, samples of the water have not come back with results.
City officials hope to know by Wednesday morning if the water will be safe for consumption.
