LAMPASAS (August 3, 2012)—A funeral service has been scheduled in Lampasas for Fort hood Sgt. Clinton Truman Kunze, 29, of Rosebud, who died of a gunshot wound last Thursday on post.

Further details about the shooting were not released.

At the time of his death Kunze was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division's 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Hood said.

According to Fort Hood Officials, he deployed to Afghanistan from May 2003 to July 2004 and to Iraq from October 2006 to January 2008, January 2009 to December 2009 and May 2011 to December 2011.

Kunze leaves behind a young daughter, Mercedez.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

The service for Kunze will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m., also at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

His brother will officiate.

Burial will follow at Long Cove Cemetery.
